Bail Out on US HWY 77

ROBSTOWN - (News Release) On August 12, 2022, at 12:30 PM Nueces County Constable Precinct 3 deputy, Assigned to the Nueces County District Attorney Criminal Interdiction unit, conducted a traffic stop on a white Dodge pick up. The vehicle came to a stop on US Highway 77 north of FM 2826 when multiple subjects bailed out of the vehicle. With the assistance of multiple agencies including members of the Nueces County District attorney Criminal Interdiction Unit, Nueces County Constable Precinct 5, Border Patrol, Robstown PD, and the Agua Dulce City Marshals Office. The driver and a passenger were taken into custody. A short time later, the other four undocumented subjects we're apprehended in an open field. The driver and passenger were arrested for Smuggling of Persons which is a 3rd degree felony consisting of a possible penalty of 2-10 years and a Max fine of $10,000.
