Burglary Suspect Flees During Pursuit, Female Arrested on Theft Charges

 

Nueces County Precinct Five Constables

ROBSTOWN, TEXAS (News Release) - Early yesterday morning, Jim Wells County Constable J. Long, while conducting a burglary case near Farm to Market Road 70 close to the county line, requested assistance from Precinct 5 Deputies after initiating a traffic stop that led to a vehicle pursuit.

Constable Long attempted to pull over the vehicle suspected to be involved in recent burglary activity. Upon arrival, Precinct 5 Deputies discovered a female passenger still inside the vehicle while the male driver fled on foot from the scene.

Several stolen items were observed in plain view in the bed of the truck.

The female was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Nueces County Jail, where she faces theft charges.

The investigation remains ongoing and is being led by Jim Wells County Constable J. Long.
