Bishop Police Department

BISHOP (News Release) - At approximately 6:30 pm on Friday, February 9, 2024, Bishop Police Department Shift II Patrol Officers and Nueces County Constable Pct-3 Deputies responded to the 100 block of Badger Lane, Bishop, Texas, for a report of an Indecent Assault -Just Occurred.

Upon arrival Officers made contact with the reporting party, who advised an adult male may have inappropriately touched a juvenile at a school sponsored athletic event.

Contact was then made with the juvenile victim and a witness, who stated an adult male had intentional inappropriate physical contact with the victim. The victim and witness were able to identify the suspect and he was located on scene a short time later.

The suspect, identified as 41 year old Douglas Zelkowski of Victoria, Texas, was placed under arrest on scene without incident and later transported to the Nueces County Jail on charges of Indecent Assault.
