MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED

CORPUS CHRISTI - (News Release) At approximately 4:15 pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, officers with the US Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Murder suspect 17-year-old Jose Monsevais.

The officers were able to locate Monsevais at a location on the 4700 block of FM 625. Officers effected a traffic stop with assistance from Jim Well County Sheriffs Office and were able to take Monsevais into custody without incident.

Jose Monsevais was arrested on the outstanding Murder Warrant ($1,000,000 bond) and transported to the Jim Wells County Jail.

Monsevais was identified as a suspect in the February 15, 2022 shooting that occurred on the 2200 block of Prescott Street, that left one man dead.
