Single Vehicle Rollover Accident Leaves One Dead

BISHOP (News Release) - On Tuesday, March 28 at approximately 8:04 am, Deputies with Nueces County Precinct 3 and the Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on FM 70 near County Road 73A.
Upon arrival, the driver was located in the field with possible back injuries after being ejected from the Chevrolet pickup he was driving.
A female passenger who was wearing a seat belt had a visible injury to the left arm. The third passenger, who was in the back seat, was trapped and later pronounced deceased.
The driver and female passenger were transported to separate hospitals in Corpus Christi.
DPS and The Nueces County Medical Examiner's Office also responded to the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
