Statement on behalf of Commissioner Torres family:
“As some of you might be aware that my wife Commissioner Torres was not able to attend the last City Commissioners Meeting.
Commissioner Torres has been ill and had a minor outpatient procedure. She is at home recuperating and is thankful to the staff, nurses and doctors.
Our family did not intend to keep this a secret from anyone, Commissioner just felt it would be best for the community and her spirits to concentrate on the great activities that transpired this weekend.
She says, “no need to worry and I will be back to work by Monday. Thank you and God Bless each of you.””
