Nueces County Precinct Five Constable

Nueces County (News Release) - During the weekend, deputies with Constable Oscar Mendoza Pct.5 arrested two individuals, recovered two stolen vehicles and seized a handgun and a small amount of marijuana during a traffic stop.

On Friday evening February 10, deputies assisted Corpus Christi Auto Theft with locating and recovery of a 2022 Dodge pickup truck on Cr. 73. The Investigation began when deputies were notified by Corpus Christi Police Department (CCPD) Auto Theft agent of the possible whereabouts of a stolen vehicle. A couple of hours later, the vehicle was located and recovered by Pct. 5 deputies working the evening shift. The case has been referred to CCPD for further investigation.

On Sunday February 12, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a blue Ford pickup being driven by a female and a male passenger, both residents out of Orange Grove, Texas. During the traffic stop, it was determined the truck had been reported stolen out of Orange Grove Police Department. The female driver was arrested for driving a stolen vehicle . The male passenger, a twenty year old male was arrested for being in possession of marijuana and having a firearm also in his possession. Both were transported to Nueces County Jail and booked on charges.
