Subject Recklessly Flees DPS

ARANSAS PASS (News Release) - Yesterday evening, around 8:20 p.m., Texas Highway Patrol stopped a subject for a traffic violation. The subject, Charles Tucker age 59 of Aransas Pass, insisted on not going back to jail. Tucker was a wanted felon at the time of the stop. He then fled with his vehicle into Aransas Pass and continued to evade the trooper by driving recklessly through the neighborhoods.

The pursuit ended when Tucker crashed his blue Dodge Durango into a resident's fence. Officers used pepper projectiles to assist in apprehending Tucker who refused to comply with the officer's commands. He was transported to San Patricio County Jail and booked on multiple charges.
