Internationally recognized as one of the world’s finest quartets, the American String Quartet has spent decades honing the luxurious sound that makes them famous. Hosted by the Corpus Christi Chamber Music Society, in conjunction with the Del Mar College Music Department, the quartet will perform with pianist Robert McDonald starting at 7:30 p.m. in Wolfe Recital Hall, which is located on Del Mar College’s Heritage Campus adjacent to Viking Hall.
The American String Quartet celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2024; and, during their years of touring, the quartet has performed in all 50 states and appeared in the most beloved concert halls worldwide. McDonald is a faculty member at both the Curtis Institute and the Juilliard School and has toured extensively as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and South America.
