Hit and Run Driver Located in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - On December 1, 2024, at about 10:39 pm, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Nile Dr. in reference to a crash. Officers were told a truck crashed into a building and fled the scene.

Officers arrived and contacted business employees who stated a truck suddenly rammed into the building. The truck reversed and left the location.
Officers located a license plate that was left behind, that belonged to the vehicle involved.
Officers went to a nearby residence less than two blocks away and located the involved truck and driver.
The driver was placed under arrest for Duty on Striking Structure/Fixture, Fail to Identify, and Resisting Arrest.
20-year-old Nathan Herrera was transported to the City Detention Center for booking. His truck was impounded.
